Reporting Claims
When reporting claims, it is crucial to do so in a timely manner as late-reported claims may not be covered. Please report the claim as soon as you discover the damage, without waiting for police reports or damage repair estimates. Additionally, do not repair the property before the claims adjuster has spoken with your agency's risk manager. If there is a risk of further damage, perform temporary repairs such as boarding up broken windows or protecting property exposed to rain. Seek professional help if extensive water damage has occurred.
Claim Correspondence
In the event of a loss or damage to covered property, select one of the claim departments below and provide them with the following:
- Description of the property involved (including a description of how, when, and where the loss or damage occurred)
- If available, provide photos of the damage
- Notify the carrier if a law may have been broken
- Cooperate with the carrier in the investigation and settlement of the claim
